About

We are a community, based in Knowle, Bristol, providing socially and environmentally sustainable housing and shared community facilities for our members.

We are building a diverse multi-generational community of people with shared values choosing to be closer and share more with their neighbours.

We use a cohousing model of living, where we have a mix of privately owned and rented accommodation, all situated around communal spaces in order to foster community.

Sharing is at the heart of our community and we buy food and other consumables in bulk, have shared laundry facilities, gardens and tools, and grow and share our own food.

We are based in Lower Knowle Farm which is a 16th century, grade 2*  listed building. While now only a farm by name, our 0.9 acre shared gardens, were previously part of the original dairy farm and are now used for play, socializing and for our allotments. In 2022 we completed construction of 9 small eco units in the grounds. We have one shared ownership property, 5 individually owned units and 6 rooms in the farmhouse which is run as a housing management co-op.
